Powering the 2014 Dodge Durango

When it comes to power, the Durango has a V-6 enigne that produces 290 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque and it coupled to a with its new speed automatic transmission.  This new eight speed transmission helps save on fuel economy. The optional 5.7-liter HEMI V8 pumps out 360 horses and 390 lb.-ft.  This engine even has cylinder deactivation technology, so it shuts off power to all eight cylinders and only uses four cylinders when demand isn't great enough (ie. when you are stopped at a light). 

It's drive is one of quality thanks to the independent rear suspension and large anti-roll bars.  Properly equipped 2014 Durango models can tow up to 6200 pounds with the V6 or 7400 pounds with the V8.
