'14 Dodge Journey Design

The first thing that jumps out to you about the 2014 Journey is the very recognizable Dodge grille.  The grille almost looks like a face with the grille being the mouth and the lights being the eyes.  The hood of the car is aluminum, and the way that the windshield sits makes the vehicle aerodynamic.  At the back, the Journey's taillights wrap around the sides of the vehicle and continue into the tailgate, which opens upward. The taillights themselves are LEDs on all but the base model.

The interior is just as nice as the exterior and includes a six-speaker sound system with a compact 4.3-inch touchscreen interface, a CD player, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface.  Just like in any other vehicle, the inteoir of the Journey gets nicer as you go up in trim level, and it can include blue tooth phone and audio connectivity, an 8.4-inch touchscreen audio display and much more.

Powering the 2014 Dodge Journey

When it comes to power, the Journey has a four cylinder enigne that produces 173 horsepower, and 166 pound-feet of torque and it coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission.  The six cylinder engine produces 283 hp and 260 lb-ft and is matched to a six-speed automatic.  The six cylinder is optional on the SXT and standard on the Limited and R/T, and the four cylinder engine is standard on the AVP, SE and SXT.

The ride quality of the '14 Journey is good, and it won't jostle you over bumps.  The Dodge Journey features a fully-independent suspension. In the front, MacPherson struts are tuned to provide an optimum balance of ride, handling and noise isolation. And in the back, the multi-link rear suspension allows individual movement of the rear wheels over different road surfaces. Front and rear suspension crossmembers are isolated to the body to help create a quiet ride, with less road noise, vibration and harshness.

Conclusions
